I am glad I am not the only one who we...Thanks Amy. I am glad I am not the only one who wears a pedometer. My actual goal is 12,000 steps a day, but that is in the losing weight period. I heard that in order to maintain one's healthy weight, they should walk at least 10,000 steps a day. Yes, easier said than done. It means basically that you have to take a 30 minute walk each day just to get yourself halfway there. We've found out that it's easier said than done! But just using it every day and being aware of how much you're walking is a big help for getting into a healthy lifestyle.
